Ben had been taking a nice, hot shower--a big treat for a human.

Not so much for a cat, which he turned into halfway through his shower with a surprised hiss.

One wet, pissed off kitty in the bathroom for lucky, lucky Ender to deal with...

Ben padded over, big eyes wide. Perhaps there would also be a snack!

Ender sighed and snagged a towel, then dropped down to his knees so he could dry the poor kitten off.

Ben purred under the towel. Not being wet was soooo much better!

Ender chuckled softly. "At least you're cute," he said, skritching Ben behind the ears. "I think we still have some jerky lying around here..."

In true cat fashion, Ben abandoned him immediately to search, then to stretch out on the good spot on the bed.

Ender shook his head, going through one of the drawers in the nightstand until he found a packet of jerky (on Ben's side, of course).

He broke off a piece and offered it to the kitten.

Ben sniffed at it warily for a moment before taking it and chewing it into tiny bits all over Ender's pillow.

"I'm taking your pillow for that," Ender sighed, snagging Ben's before the kitten could leave stuff all over that, too.

Then he flopped down onto the bed next to him.

Well now that pillow looked better!

Ben wandered over and pawed Ender's hand.

Scritches, please.

Ender sighed at him, reaching out to scritch Ben under the chin. "Demanding."

Ben let out a supremely satisfied purr and settled in against Ender.

After a few moments, Ender gave in and curled up around the kitten. "Don't make this last too long, you brat."
