Hijra [A few weeks later]

Ben was catching up on emails from home--news about the Sith, the latest gossip from Jag and Jaina's corner of the galaxy and whatever Allana had gotten herself up to while being unsupervised (there was a lot of "it'd seemed like a good idea!!!" in her correspondence)--and then poking around scientific journals about advancements in reproductive technology.

You know. For no real reason. Cough.

He drank tea and really missed having those yummy red fruits around. He'd need to ask when they came back the next time he went to the market.

Ben shivered happily. "So many scars," he babbled. "I look like a quilt."

"You look like you," Ender said, as he kissed his way along the scar. "All the bad experiences... and the good..."

"More good ones than bad these days," Ben whispered. "Thanks to you."

Ender paused briefly. He dropped his chin on Ben's belly and looked up with a soft smile. "That was the plan all along," he murmured.

"Well planned and executed, admiral," Ben replied, smiling back.

"Thank you, Jedi," Ender said, his smile broadening.

He tugged open Ben's fly, then peeked down. "Not good enough," he decided, pulling away a bit so he could remove Ben's pants.

This didn't seem like a time for anything less.

Ben let out a soft hiss and bit his lower lip. "Guh, kreetle."

Ender moved forward to kiss him again, pressing Ben gently into the mattress using his whole weight.

Ben didn't know when being pinned that way had stopped being claustrophobic and started being comforting, but he was glad that it had. He wrapped his legs around Ender's waist, pulling him closer.

Ender was suddenly overtly aware of his own pants, but he ignored that awareness. He didn't want to think about that just yet - not when Ben was this close and he felt this many kinds of good that had little to do with that part of him at all.

What he wanted to do was kiss Ben. A great deal, and slowly. So he did.

Ben melted into him with a contented sigh, tangling his fingers through Ender's hair.

"Love you," Ender whispered, then kissed him again. "Love you."

"I know," Ben murmured, nipping Ender's lower lip.

Ender pressed kisses along Ben's jaw until he reached Ben's ear. "Fuck me?" he asked softly.

Ben had not been expecting that at all. He shivered. "Please," he replied, nibbling at Ender's mouth again.

Ender let out a sigh, then kissed him back.

He'd began to figure out that he never wanted that except in times where intimacy felt like it was much more important than any other part of it; he was vaguely relieved to find out it wasn't just when he felt particularly broken.

"Okay," he murmured, reaching for the drawer in their headstand so he could put the bottle on top of it.

Then he returned to Ben's mouth.

"No hurry, though," Ben said, sliding his hands along the muscles of Ender's back. "What we've been doing is astral."

"Yes, it is," Ender said, pressing a kiss to the corner of Ben's mouth. He ran his fingers through Ben's hair, pulling some back behind his ear.

Ben's hands moved to Ender's rear. "Even if you're wearing too many clothes."

"I'm not going to stop you from fixing that," Ender said with a low chuckle.

"I love your laugh," Ben murmured, sliding his fingers under Ender's waistband and working to remove the pants.

Ender shifted and wriggled a little to help him with that. "It's quite fond of you, too."

Ben kissed him again (since it had been about five seconds since a kiss and that was clearly Unacceptable) and ran his hands along Ender's newly bare thighs. "I'm quite fond of all of you."

"Then it's a good thing all of me shares my laughter's fondness," Ender said, leaning in to kiss Ben's throat.

Ben tilted his head up again because kisses were amazing. "You are the most important person in my life, kreetle," he murmured. "You know that, right?"
