Ben's shuttle, Imperial Junkyard [late afternoon]

After a nice long talk on with Aravis, Ben headed down to the junkyard to check on his shuttle before Tony arrived.

Ever since the Labrynith had taken over his ship, he'd been a looooot little more protective of it.

Okay, so most pilots don't actually clean the crevices by the door with a toothbrush, but Ben was special. Besides, if he knew the ship this well, it made it easier to tell if someone was trying to tamper with it.

Tony hadn't touched anything! Yet.

He was mostly standing outside of it, ogling the ship just a tiny, tiny bit. "Wow."

Ben smiled proudly. "You like it?"

"Like it?" Tony replied. "I want one!"

"I'm pretty sure Dad would want to know why I needed two shuttles," Ben replied with a laugh.

"You could try and claim the first one was stolen," Tony suggested, running his hand over the hull.

Ben snorted. "He wouldn't believe me," he declared. "Besides, my father can always tell when I'm lying. It's incredibly annoying." He grinned. "Want a tour."

Tony snorted in amusement. "My dad's--was the same. Does a tour mean I can see the engine systems?"

"Yes," Ben said, "but you can't poke at them. We'll need them if you want to go out for a ride."

"...not even a little poke?"

A 'not dirty' would go here, but unfortunately Tony hadn't a clue it could be taken that way.

"Not even when you think I'm not watching," Ben said with a tiny smile. "We can start with the engines, though, because I'm a nice guy."

"Or what, you'll know with this Force thing?"

"Yeah," Ben said, forehead furrowing. "Did I tell you about that?"

"Ender did," Tony replied. "He said it was something like telekinesis and not magic."

Vader totally burned that part of the Temple's knowledge first.

Ben nodded. "It's kind of hard to explain, but I don't need to summon spells or anything to make it work."

That they left to witches of Dathomir, who were super weird.

He better have. Not even the dulcet tones of Liam Neeson could make that work.

"So, what is it you do then?"

Ben weighed his options for a moment, then fell down on the side of being a giant show-off. "Dad calls it reaching out with your feelings," he said, holding his hand out slightly and closing his eyes. He reached into the Force, concentrated hard, and a few heartbeats later the shuttle was hovering about a foot off the ground.

Size might not have mattered much to Yoda, but the shuttle was big for Ben.

"Well." Tony stared for a moment. "That's pretty cool."

Ben grinned at him and put the shuttle back down. "Thanks. It certainly makes it easier to get clothes in the morning."

Pfff. Tony had him beat. He normally just fell asleep in his clothes rather than put on PJs. Maybe because someone still had some wacky survivor guilt, but then again, who didn't these days?

"That has to make fixing things way easier."

"A bit," Ben said with a smile. "Come on, I'll show you around."

This tour was going to be heavy with technical babble.

This was Tony's complaining face. Wait... no. Glee.

"And then fly, right?"

"And then fly," Ben said with a grin.

Fifteen minutes later, they were back at the front of the shuttle. "And now you can look at all of the astral buttons in the cockpit."

"Very shiny," Tony replied with an exaggerated 'Oooo'.

Ben grinned at him. "You're not going to get to make us take off," he said, leading them through the hallway. "Bedrooms are back there, so's the galley and storage, cockpit's through here. You get the seat on the right."

"I have experience flying!" Tony insisted. Despite all that crashing he'd done lately. "Maybe not one of these ships, though."
