It had taken a few days to break free of the Kathol Rift, but the minute the ship cleared the interference, Ben had his comlink out to make a few long-needed calls back to various galaxies.

Ender and his dad had been good to talk to--or not talk to--but he needed to reconnect with some others, too--especially Jaina.

"I'm just worried for the custody of poor Ben and Ender fish," Ben said, "but it's probably not a bad idea. I've had one for a while, not that I exactly have stuff."

"Well, you can get the fish," Tony decided. "And the space version of the suit. Ender gets the other ones. And Rhodey gets all my money, but don't tell him that."

A beat.

"No need to tempt him to kill me one day."

"I'm pretty sure that if Rhodey ever tries to kill you, it won't be because he thinks he's getting money out of it," Ben laughed.

"I can't wait to see how those would get shipped to me. Um, not that I'm eagerly waiting for your death or anything," Ben tacked on.
