"The things you do to me," Ben breathed, leaning in for a searing kiss.

Ender returned it gladly, sliding his arms over Ben's shoulders. "I try," he murmured, kissing Ben again.

"You succeed," Ben said, "my brilliant, beautiful, patient husband."

He slicked up his hand and moved it places.

Ender let out a little gasp, tilting his hips more to make it easier. "Flattery's getting you a lot of places right now."

Ben burst out laughing. "Did you just make the worst pun ever?" he asked, twisting his fingers.

Ender shivered, largely by reflex. "Made you laugh."

"You do," Ben said, leaning in and kiss him again. "I love you for it."

Ender rocked his hips gently into Ben's hand.

Just to help him out. Honest. "I just love seeing you laugh," he murmured.

"Haven't been doing a lot of it lately, huh?" Ben murmured back, keeping his hand at a steady pace.

He was going to draw this out too.

"Less than you used to," Ender said softly.

Coming to Lusitania, releasing the Hive Queen - it had taken an enormous, horrible weight off Ender's shoulders. He had become lighter. Ben seemed to be heading in the opposite direction.

Ben kissed him. "I'll work on it," he promised. "Being here helped."

The relief of being able to talk without expecting the neighbors to hear everything was freeing.

Ender kissed him back, letting out another quiet sigh at the sensation of Ben's fingers. "If we ever get the opportunity to leave," he said, "I promise I'll take it seriously."

"Thank you," Ben said, adding another finger.

They picked the weirdest times to have heart-to-hearts.

They were more or less at their most vulnerable right now. It made sense, in a thoroughly weird kind of way.

Ender shut his eyes and dropped his head back, done, at least for the moment.

He let out a ragged pant.

"Not yet, love," Ben murmured. "You're so pretty like this..."

"Oh, I'm not going anywhere," Ender murmured.

Ben curled his fingers. "I didn't think so."

Ender whimpered softly. He was still sensitive there, even if it wasn't going to amount to much.

He didn't exactly mind looking like something Ben enjoyed looking at.

Ben kissed the hollow of Ender's throat. "Tell me that you want me."

Ender's mouth curved. "I want you," he said, without hesitation. "I always want you."

Ben kissed him thoroughly. "I love you all the time."

Ender kissed him back, shifting slightly underneath him. "That feeling's mutual, too," he said, nipping gently at Ben's bottom lip.

Ben reached for the bottle again. "Always will be," he whispered.

Ender's eyes opened, and he reached out and touched Ben's cheek, trailing his fingers along Ben's features. "That's my Ben," he murmured, half-teasing.
