Most people didn't view an invasion as a Great Date Night, but Ben and Tahiri weren't exactly most people.

"These don't seem very much like the other gremlins," Ben replied, making a little face when he got sprayed with blood from a poorly executed lightsaber swipe.

She'd even pretend she'd done that intentionally. She was awesome like that. Though the relevant bit was the kissing.

They might make it to the clinic eventually.

At some point, yes, but not soon.

His hands snuck around her waist, ignoring the gremlin goop he was touching.

They did tend to get sidetracked this way a lot, didn't they? Anyway, they were all over gremlin goop by now, and Tahiri was trying to hook her fingers into his belt.

It was fine by Ben, who was becoming very interested in kissing Tahiri's neck.

And having her neck kissed (goop or not) was just fine with Tahiri, so she'd just be tugging him closer, then. They might possibly have shifted a fraction of a step closer in the clinic's direction? Or maybe away from it.

She didn't really care much.

Since Ben wasn't going to blame the way he was feeling lightheaded on his blood loss, he wasn't exactly in a huge hurry to get there, either.

Not when there was what passed for privacy out here.

...if you ignored the invasion part.

Invasion? Oh, right, that invasion. The one that didn't seem as important as making sure poor lightheaded Ben was going to be okay.

Because kissing him was the best way to do that, obviously.

And that was why Ben was looking for a tree to lean against--because of the kissing lightheadedness. Not from the blood loss. Really.

It had better not be from the blood loss. He'd said it wasn't that bad, and if it was worse than he'd claimed Tahiri was going to be annoyed.

Let's just be glad they didn't decide finding a place to stretch out on the ground sounded like a better idea.

Force knows what they'd end up rolling in that way.

Ben was far too busy kissing Tahiri to worry about silly things like arm wounds anyway.

Was it possible that a half dozen or so Jedi Masters had the urge to facepalm?

Tahiri had no interest in questions like this right now. At all. Or in the concept of time and place. Who needed normal standards?

Ben wouldn't know normal if Threepio translated for it.

"You're sure you're not hurt?" he asked between kisses, running his hands along her jumpsuit's sleeves. "I could check..."

He thought he was Terribly Smooth.

"I'm sure," Tahiri insisted. Hey, she hadn't gotten knocked unconscious, and she still had her lightsaber. She was doing great. But oooh, hands, and attention, and --

"But I wouldn't stop you if you really wanted to make sure."

Totally smooth. She thought so.

"I think I do," he said, nipping at her earlobe.

"Then --" Tahiri inhaled sharply, whimpering just a bit and wrapping her arms around him. "Don't let me stop you."

His fingers--which weren't trembling much, shut up--went towards her zipper. "Okay."

Children, really, was this the time? Besides the gremlins, there was winter to factor in.

Tahiri was not, it was worth noting, stopping him, and if his fingers were(n't) trembling she didn't notice; she was a little shaky all over. "I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed if a gremlin got in there," she teased, in a tone that wasn't at all meant to discourage him.

"We can't be too cautious," he said very solemnly. Really.

"Well, in that case, you'd better be thorough," Tahiri replied just as seriously. No. She didn't mean for it to sound like a comeon.

Ben chuckled near her ear. "Okay," he said, nipping at her neck.

[weetuskenraider]

"Hey, Ben?" Tahiri asked a little breathlessly, several seconds later when she remembered she could talk.

[momslilassassin]

"Hmmmm?" Ben replied, sounding just as breathless.

[weetuskenraider]

She reached up to trace the curve of his ear. "Love you, you know."

[momslilassassin]

He shivered, and not just from standing outside in the cold like an idiot. "Love you, too."

[weetuskenraider]

Cold? It was cold? Tahiri hadn't noticed. She thought that shivering was just sensory overload. "Are we any closer to Chilly Boulder?"

Tahiri, no. You haven't moved.

Okay, maybe the cold was getting to her a little bit.
