It had taken a few days to break free of the Kathol Rift, but the minute the ship cleared the interference, Ben had his comlink out to make a few long-needed calls back to various galaxies.

Ender and his dad had been good to talk to--or not talk to--but he needed to reconnect with some others, too--especially Jaina.

Tony made a small noise. "I'll say you suggested it."

HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT LOTION WAS A BAD IDEA.

"She loves me," Ben assured him even though that was...probably not the case.

Now Tony was busy picturing Stephanie and some nameless Greek woman 'helping' each other with topless sunbathing.

"I'm not sending you any pictures now."

"Of Atlantis or ever of anything?" Ben asked.

"Topless Atlantis women." He could expect pictures of the fish with more top hats drawn on. Because it was fun.

"You are a cruel, cruel person and for that I'll send you a picture of Ender getting licked by six tongues," Ben threatened.

"I'm pretty sneaky," Ben declared.

"Does he know?"

"I don't think so but with Ender, it's better not to underestimate what he saw," Ben replied.

"Sneaky, Ben. Sneaky," Tony replied with a snort. "How was the crazy making nebula with licking aliens otherwise? Get me any souvenirs?"

"Do you like rocks?" Ben asked. "I saw lots of them."

"You could let Paul play with them." Best pet Ender could ask for!

It took Ben a moment.

"Paul?"

"Ender's pet rock? Did he toss it out already?" Tony put a lot of work into that!

Ben laughed. "No. He just didn't share its backstory with me. I think it lives under his pillow."

Ben had no proof of that at all.

"Pics or it didn't happen." Yes, be sneaky some more, Ben.

"I'll do my best," Ben promised. "Is Fish!Ben still alive?"

"That's a little creepy," Ben said. "Do fish sleep?"

There was a pause. "You know, I haven't noticed them doing any sleeping." Considering how little sleep he got, though. It probably wasn't surprising.

"Maybe they're zombie fish."

"It would explain why me!fish hasn't died in a while," Ben offered.

"Zombie Beeeeen," Tony replied in a deep voice. "If it eats my brains the next time I sleep in the lab, I'm never forgiving you."
