Ben still was exactly sure where he and Ender had ended up but the food was good, the view from their room was fantastic, and nothing had tried to eat them.

He was calling it a win.

He leaned against the balcony railings and ate a piece of fruit (weirdly blue, but other than that very tasty) and watched some kind of birds float serenely on a lake in the near distance.

"Not a bad way to spend time, huh?" he asked.

This was a really awful time to make him laugh, Ben.

"Why do I spend time with you...?"

"No idea," Ben said, leaning in for another kiss, "but I'm grateful for it."

Ender would've commented, but, kissing. He combed his fingers through Ben's hair and kissed him back, intent on making it last as long as possible.

Ben let out a small, contented sigh and shifted closer before letting his hands drift along Ender's side, reacquainting his senses with skin he'd already memorized.

Words didn't seem necessary right now.

Ender lifted his leg and halfway hooked it over Ben's hip, touching Ben's back with the hand that wasn't otherwise occupied.

He wasn't in any particular hurry.

"Mmm," Ben replied approvingly, moving his head to trace the shell of Ender's ear with his tongue.

Slow was good, too. Ben had just decided that.

Ender smiled, tracing scar lines with his fingertips. "We're figuring this out pretty well so far," he sighed.

Ben shivered slightly. "No complaints here," he agreed, pressing a kiss just under Ender's ear.

"Good," Ender murmured, tracing one scar back towards the center of Ben's back.

Ben shivered again and bit down lightly on Ender's neck.

Ender made a soft little noise in the back of his throat. "Do that again."

He was going to have to start investing in scarves.

Ben smiled at him mischievously, then bit down again, slightly harder, on a different spot.

Ender whimpered, hooking his other leg around Ben's waist and tilting his head back.

"Kuso," Ben murmured hoarsely. He was absolutely convinced his knees had gone liquid hearing the sound Ender had just made. He scraped his teeth along Ender's neck until he reached the hollow of his throat and bit down again.

That was an incredibly vulnerable piece of skin Ben had just put his teeth to.

Ender squirmed - something downstairs might have just twitched - and let out a gasp, briefly torn between fight-or-flight or finding that kind of a ridiculous turn-on.

Ben ran his tongue across that spot, humming a bit under his breath.

Ender's hand clenched possibly-painfully in Ben's hair. "Kintama," he hissed.

Ben gasped as the pain registered and was shunted away as he declared it not important, then blew a little breath of air over that same spot, just to see what it would do.

He'd ask Ender about the new word later, when he could focus on word....things.

Ender shivered, his grip on Ben's hair relaxing. "Okay," he muttered. "Okay."

"It's just me," Ben murmured softly, kissing his collarbone.

And he'd cut off his own hand before he'd deliberately hurt Ender.

Ender, his pupils heavily dilated, glanced down at him. "I know," he said, his breathing moving a little fast.

Ben smiled at Ender, then deliberately rocked his hips hard against him.

That caught Ender by - not exactly displeased - surprise. He moaned, thighs pressing harder against Ben's hips in some bizarre non-verbal iteration of the word 'stay'.

Ben shifted his weight a bit and then moved against Ender again, slipping his hand down to trace along Ender's thigh.
