Shakespeare Colony [A month later]

They'd waited for the weather to turn more reliably warm and dry before hosting an outdoor dance in the center of the village. The fight over music had been mostly smoothed over by agreeing to vary the selections between what the colonists who'd arrived recently liked and what the natives had become used to after Ben had offered to provide enough droid spoken word albums to last the entire dance to break the impasse.

Because everyone had agreed that droid spoken word albums were the worst.

And now, in the fine tradition of dances everywhere, no one was dancing in the area cleared for that purpose as everyone gathered in nervous groupings around food and drink tables, staring at people across the floor and hoping someone would ask them to dance.

Ben sighed and tugged at the tie around his neck. "Should we draw names from a hat or something?" he asked Ender.

That sounded like encouragement, didn't it? Ender would take it as such - leaning forwards to put his mouth to different use.

He'd been aching to do this for an hour.

Ben whimpered and knocked his head back against the wall, hoping his legs would hold him up. "Kuso."

Ender reached one hand up for - ahem - support, shutting his eyes for a moment so he could focus on Ben's voice.

Ben focused on the ceiling because watching Ender's mouth would make this end entirely too soon, and began babbling: about how he felt, about how Ender looked, about what he would be doing to reciprocate once this was over...

Ender shivered. Dammit, Ben...

He planted his free hand on the floor - he didn't want to touch himself and end this quickly, either. But he might have swallowed once or twice just to let Ben know he was really appreciating getting those details. A lot.

Ben's words trailed off into needy little noises as he hand tightened in Ender's hair in a silent "please don't move" plea.

Like Ender was going anywhere.

He sped up his motions instead, his hand creeping up to rub over Ben's behind.

Ben's head thumped back against the wall as he closed his eyes and tried to remember to breathe.

"Kuso, Ender--"

And then Ender's fingers slipped places.

He was going to get as much noise out of Ben as he could tonight, thank you.

Ben got much, much louder, and his knees were threatening to buckle on him.

He stopped his hips from rolling through a massive amount of willpower: choking Ender would be a bad, bad, bad idea.

Bad idea, yes, but not entirely calculating in the fact that Ender was prepared for the eventuality-- not that it mattered. He slowed down a little again so he could put his tongue to work... and so he could look all the way up and see how Ben was doing.

Ben whimpered, then looked down.

And moaned. "Kuso. You look so good."

Ender didn't break eye-contact, but he definitely upped his game after that one-- tongue-wise, especially, because he really, really needed to see Ben let go now.

He wouldn't have to wait very long: Ben's hips snapped forward a little and he let out a low whimper as he let go.

"Fuck."

Ender broke away a moment later, spitting on the ground. He lapsed into heavy breathing, and pressed his face against Ben's thigh.

Ben slid down the wall to sit on the floor, panting just as hard, and reached out to pull Ender against him.

Ender went with him easily - he was in fact already moving in that direction.

He kissed Ben, not as thoroughly as he'd have liked, but he still needed air too much.

Ben was beginning to wonder if his heart would ever stop hammering in his chest.

"We're going to have a lot more dances," he declared inanely, kissing Ender's neck.

Ender chuckled. "Mhm," he said, running his hand through Ben's hair, then down along Ben's shoulders. He wasn't done yet himself, but he wasn't going to rush past a perfectly decent chance to lay here and touch Ben a lot.

Ben was pretty sex-drunk, but not enough to have forgotten that Ender needed his attention.

"Love you," he whispered, sliding his hands down Ender's chest.

"Love you too," Ender murmured, cupping the side of Ben's neck with one hand. He pressed a kiss to Ben's jaw, and then a lingering one to Ben's mouth - he'd regained some of his breath by now.

"Mmmm," Ben sighed, sliding his hand down to rest on Ender's leg.

Ender kissed him again, tracing patterns on Ben's chest. Sure, they were a messy pile in the corner of the hall already, but he couldn't even come up with a reason to move anywhere else.

Ben shivered slightly, then tilted his head and began kissing down Ender's chest.

"Unless you're worried about rug burn," he murmured.

"I think I'll survive," Ender said, watching him with obvious interest.
