Ben was still smiling as they walked away from the Portalocity terminal, his hand in Ender's. "That was a nice visit," he said. "Dad's really, really excited about becoming a grandfather, huh? I think the Ewok-themed nursery might be a bit much, though."

"Love you," Ender echoed softly, sliding his arms around Ben.

Sometimes he just liked wallowing in Ben's presence.

Ben nuzzled his neck, then kissed slowly along his jawline, trying to make Ender feel as cherished as he knew how.

It was working, too. Ender let out a little sigh and pressed a smile against Ben's shoulder.

"I've got you," Ben murmured, trailing kisses along his shoulder next.

"And I've got you," Ender said softly, skimming his fingers along the scars on Ben's back, feather-light.

Ben sighed and nipped down gently. "I never doubted that."

Ender whimpered softly and ran his fingers back up, into Ben's hair. "Good."

Ben sucked at the hollow of Ender's throat, in absolutely no rush. He was trying to kiss every part of him today.

Ender kept smoothing his fingers through Ben's hair, murmuring nonsense endearments.

It felt like that kind of day.

"We need more blanket forts," Ben declared, kissing slowly down Ender's chest. "This is nice."

"Just as long as you don't turn the entire house into one," Ender said fondly.

"Challenge accepted," Ben said, grinning down at him.

"That was not a challenge," Ender told him.

"Of course it was," Ben replied.

Ender sighed and shot him a Look.

Ben kissed his nose. "I won't."

[endsthegame]

"Thank you," Ender said. "I'm not sure the bathroom would survive."

Ben laughed. "I'd keep the bathtub sacred. Promise."

"Good, because 'sacred' is exactly what it is," Ender said. "Best place in the house."

Ben kissed him again. "I agree. I'm figuring how to put a tub into the ship."

"You'd have to water-proof the room and install a reservoir," Ender mused.

[momslilassassin]

"And compensate for the reservoir sloshing," Ben nodded.

"You'll get it," Ender said, sliding his fingers gently down Ben's neck. "Building us a real custom home, huh."

Ben shivered and leaned into Ender's touch. "Of course," he said softly. "It's going to be our little bit of flying stability."

"Home, in as much as we've ever known it," Ender murmured, keeping his fingers moving ever so gently down along Ben's shoulder blades.
