So Ben was sleeping in today. Mmmm. Sleep.

"Because you've been married to me longer than ten minutes?" Ben replied, leaning in for a long, slightly possessive kiss.

"There is that," Ender sighed. He sank into the kiss, physically capitulating.

He wasn't particularly fond of the possessiveness, but he knew that it sprang from Ben's insecurities, and he was willing to indulge it if it would help soothe them.

Ben knew that and generally didn't wallow in this kind of behavior, but Novinha had been getting under his skin and he'd internalized most of it (though not as well as he'd thought...). Here, in a safe place well away from Lusitania, he was fine with marking Ender up a little bit.

Lizard-brain was clearly leading what little thinking was happening right now.

He broke the kiss to suck a bruise into the hollow of Ender's throat.

Ender whimpered softly and slid his hand up to cup the back of Ben's neck. "That's it," he murmured.

Ben groaned low in his throat in response, nipping down.

Ender gasped, fingers clenching gently against Ben's neck. "Hi there."

Ben's tongue darted out and he glanced up, smirking slightly. "Hi."

"Oh, you brat," Ender said fondly, stroking his fingers along Ben's short hair. "You got me."

"Yes I did," Ben said, sounding proud.

Ender let out a soft laugh. "And now you feel proud of yourself."

"Blame the lizard brain," Ben said, licking the mark again.

Ender shivered against him. "Then hello, lizard brain."

Ben's hands slid down to rest on Ender's hips. "You okay?"

"Very okay," Ender said softly.

"Know this isn't your favorite side of me," Ben whispered, kissing along Ender's chest.

"But it's part of you," Ender said, letting out a sigh, "And I get it."

Ben nipped down on the skin just below Ender's navel. "Thank you for indulging me."

"It's a give and take," Ender said softly, "And I'm more than happy to do it."

Ben rewarded him with a long, slow lick before covering Ender with his mouth.

Ender moaned, knocking his head back into the pillow. His fingers dug lightly into Ben's back. "...and there's some perks."

Ben stayed slow but extremely thorough. Ender was his this way too--he knew exactly how to take him apart and he was doing so with excruciating expertise.

Ender's breathing began to speed up faster than he might admit outside this room. He spread his legs a bit, his fingers making pointless little circles on Ben's back.

"Kuso," he sighed, "Damn, Ben..."

Ben made sure to add the noises that he knew Ender loved as he kept going.

Slowly.

"Guh," Ender said intelligibly. He settled his hands over Ben's shoulders, not moving otherwise. "Almost forgot... how good you were..."

Ben chuckled softly and doubled his efforts.

So Ender didn't almost forget again.
