Sorelledolce [let's call it Sunday]

Ben was starting to feel at home on Sorelledolce: he had a routine for getting produce for the week at the same store, where the older man behind the counter insisted on spoiling the baby with strawberries, plums or apples, depending on what he had available when they arrived. He'd then get bread at another shop (and a roll for Val to gnaw on), and then a coffee for himself (and an espresso cup full of whipped cream that Val smeared all over her face, to her great delight) before heading back to the ship.

He kept up his normal one-sided conversation with his daughter as they walked. "That's a puppy, Val," Ben explained. "And that's a chicken! And that's a lady who's glaring at us for no real reason but we're going to walk faster anyway..."

Just another Sunday morning. Ben kind of loved his quiet little life.

Ben slid his hand lower. "You mean down here?" he whispered.

Most of Ender was back to being as sensitive as usual; that wasn't one of them. He whimpered quietly, squirming into Ben's touch.

"You do," Ben crooned, nipping lightly on Ender's earlobe. "Mmmm."

"Might as well go three for three," Ender murmured, sounding slightly breathless. "Can't complain about our sex life now."

"Really can't," Ben agreed, sliding in a finger and letting out a little laugh. "...yeah, we're going to need more baths."

Ender would've laughed with him, but he was suddenly thoroughly distracted. He let out a moan and slid his legs up until his knees were up on either side of Ben's hips.

"Think it'll burn too much if I just push right in?" he whispered.

"Dunno," Ender murmured. "Still feels pretty slick."

"Tell me if this stops being a good hurt," Ben said, moving in.

Ender let out a breathless noise and suddenly his fingers were digging into Ben's shoulders.

It wasn't exactly out of pain.

"Yeah?" Ben whispered, rocking slowly.

Ender's fingers slid upwards into Ben's hair. He opened eyes he hadn't even realized he'd closed. "I love you," he whispered. "Ngh."

Ben smiled down, eyes locked on Ender's. "You take my breath away," he whispered back.

Ender leaned up just a few inches, catching Ben's mouth and kissing him, soft but drawn out. The last of the urgency had drained out of him, and now he just wanted to be close.

"I've got you," Ben murmured, resting his head against Ender's and setting up a slow, easy rhythm. "I've always got you."

"And I've got you," Ender said softly. He wrapped his arms around Ben and held him close, letting his eyes slip shut again as he got drawn into the moment.

Ben tucked his head in against Ender's neck and dropped his shields with a low, contented sigh.

There was something warm and good building slowly in Ender's body. It made him moan softly as it did so, a little louder each time.

He wasn't focusing on that, though. He felt affectionate, and he was trying to project as much of it to Ben as he was capable of.

Ben curled one hand against the bed post for better leverage, but still kept everything slow.

The closeness was more addictive than the physical act.

Ender slipped his hand between the two of them, so he could touch himself-- slowly, at Ben's pace.

He toyed with Ben's hair with the other hand.

Ben let out a soft moan of pleasure at the touch. "Love you."

"Love you," Ender echoed, looking up to catch Ben's gaze with his own.

Ben's breath caught as he looked back, then deliberately rolled his hips.

This was the very best kind of intimacy, and one he rarely allowed himself to feel: all barriers down between them.

Ender whimpered loudly at the sudden motion, but he never looked away.

This meant a lot to Ben; he knew that.

And in a moment like this, he could let it mean a lot to him, too, without overthinking it-- feeling naked.

Ben reached his free hand out to cup Ender's cheek. "Hi, you," he whispered softly.
