Ben still was exactly sure where he and Ender had ended up but the food was good, the view from their room was fantastic, and nothing had tried to eat them.

He was calling it a win.

He leaned against the balcony railings and ate a piece of fruit (weirdly blue, but other than that very tasty) and watched some kind of birds float serenely on a lake in the near distance.

"Not a bad way to spend time, huh?" he asked.

Ender chuckled softly into his neck. "Stop abusing poor Jag," he murmured, "And his poor, vast empire."

"Whango's overdone," he decided, sliding his hand along Ender's leg.

"Mhm," Ender said, settling in more comfortably.

Whether that was in response to Whango or to the leg thing was anyone's guess.

"Is it odd that I like this part almost more than the first part?" Ben asked. "This is really comfortable."

Aside from the slight stickiness, of course.

But that could be solved through the magic of tissues.

You know, when they got around to it. "There you go, defying male stereotypes," Ender said, amused.

"I've always loved talking to you," Ben said, smiling at him. "Conversations never go the way I expect."

Ender smiled back at him. "You should know by now that I know only oddballs, and I am the most terrible of them all," he said, "So that part of the question was fairly pointless."

"I like oddballs too," Ben said, kissing his neck. "Go figure."

"Now that surprises me," Ender murmured, reaching back down to trace that trail of hair.

That certainly got Ben's attention (which Ender would be able to notice...). "Hey there," he said with a little grin.

"I could say the same to you," Ender informed Ben's lower end.

Ben's smile turned a little rueful. "Well, you were down there..."

Ender chuckled, and then gave it a very civilized poke.

Even he could be kind of a teenage boy - very sometimes.

"Hey!" Ben protested, laughing and poking Ender's leg with his foot.

Ender grinned, dragging his head back up and meeting Ben's eyes. "What?" he said. "I'm just saying hello."

"By poking me?" Ben replied, wrinkling his nose up in fake dismay. "That's not very nice of you."

"I didn't say I was being nice," Ender said. "Nice doesn't get you very far."

So he poked Ben again.

Ben poked him back, then moved to roll on top of him. "Stop that," he scolded without meaning it.

Ender raised his eyebrows at him. "Or what?" he asked, reaching down and gripping Ben's ass.

"Haven't decided yet," Ben replied, running his fingertips experimentally along Ender's chest.

"Losing momentum there, Ben," Ender said, smiling.

And squirming the tiniest bit.

Ben caught his lower between his teeth and rocked into Ender in reply. "Just exploring," he retorted.

Ender gasped, briefly out of breath as he was still a little oversensitive. "Funny way of doing that," he muttered.

Ben grinned down at him before moving his head to nip along Ender's neck. "Let's see," he murmured. "I think I have a bruise about...here...now."

And then he bit down.

Ender's head tilted back and he whimpered, tightening his grip. Not so much on purpose.

Okay, apparently that still worked.
