Ben and Ender were still hosting houseguests, and since the speeder hadn't been destroyed the day before, it meant it was time for Cultural Opportunities In Town!

...or Twi'leks dancing around poles.

Po-tay-to, Po-tah-to.

There was plenty to see in Theed before then, of course, as it would be kind of tacky to watching dancing girls at lunch. Or so Ben assumed.

Topher pondered that for a minute. Look, they did seem kind of badass.

"You first?"

"Oh, I already have some," Ben said, walking into the shop, "but it never hurts to look, right?"

Maybe try something on that wasn't black, Ben?

He could try! But it might corrode his skin or something.

"Exactly," said Topher, despite having learned the dangers of looking at things during his spectacular failure at piloting yesterday. "Like..." Hmm. He looked around, then offered, "That brown one would go with your whole... black thing."

"Except that one's made for someone with four arms," Ben said, steering them toward the human section.

"I think you could pull it off," Topher joked, but moved toward the more appropriate ones all the same. "Oh, hey, that one definitely seems like your style."

Pink. Sparkly. You know, typical Ben things.

Ben snorted. "Not flashy enough," he said, pulling out a heinous green plaid poncho. "This, though? Is you."

Oh, well, that wasn't so bad! It was plaid! Topher liked plaid.

"Try that pink one and I'll try this," he offered. Because he was a moron.

"Deal," Ben said immediately.

And this was what led to chest waxings.

And worse!

Topher shrugged into the poncho, glanced down at himself, and decided, "You know, it isn't awful."

Suuuuuch an idiot.

Ben's eyebrow went up because, yeah, it was pretty awful.

His pink and glittered outfit...well. It clashed with his hair, and pulled in uncomfortable places and was generally Not Good.

"I feel like I should be chasing an astromech droid and screaming 'Tiger!' at it."

Topher snickered, sizing Ben up. "You should buy it."

And out came the phone to take a picture. STOP HIM, BEN.

"You take a picture and I will take the speeder and leave you in Theed to walk back to Lake Country," Ben threatened. "And I'll make sure you only have that poncho. And no pants."

That'd be a look.

The phone was just going quietly back into Topher's pocket now, thank you.

"But I'd get sunburned," he whined.

Oh, Topher. You had passed sunburned two days ago.

"You can live with a sunburn," Ben said cheerfully. "I have been for weeks."

Because Ben refused to learn the lesson about not getting naked outside.

PLEASE, BEN, NEVER TELL HIM THAT.

"It hurts," Topher sulked. "Do they sell stuff for that here?"

"Not in an ugly poncho and robe shop," Ben said, ignoring the look the proprietor was giving him, "but in general, yeah."

"I think you pissed him off," Topher pointed out in a loud stage whisper that the proprietor could easily hear.

"If we spend a lot of credits, he'll get over it," Ben said. "Come on, let's see if we can find you leather pants."

So he'll look good at the strip club, of course!

Topher brightened. "Those are supposed to be badass, right?"

TOPHER, NO.

"Totally," Ben said, nodding.

Mean, Ben.
