Ben didn't have classes on Wednesdays, so he normally went out on a nice long run before climbing the Rocky Bits (yes, for fun, and yes, without safety equipment), so it wasn't entirely unheard of for him to come home with a few scratches on his arms or legs.

Today, though, he was limping heavily and cursing under his breath about big sharp teeth and stupid kriffing bunnies.

He was a Skywalker. Of course something had tried to eat him.

"No major ones," Ender said. He sighed. "You're terrible."

"You seem really upset about that," Ben noted, wrapping Ender's tie through his fingers.

"One of these days, I'm going to manage to get through a day's worth of work without you jumping me," Ender said.

"Then you'll worry that I'm sick," Ben said, but he pulled back a little bit.

Ender leaned over and pecked him on the lips. "Just two more emails. They're a little on the urgent side," he said. "After that, you can deal with my tie."

Ben smiled. "I'm not upset," he said, reaching out to ruffle Ender's hair. "I should shower anyway. Get the dreaded bunny drool off my leg."

Ender smiled a little. "If you promise to come back in a towel, I really will try and make it quick," he said.

"Not why I was showering," Ben said, laughing, "but not exactly a disincentive either. Write your people, kreetle. I'll be back in a while."

"Avoid anything cute and furry on the way," Ender said, getting up off the bed. "I'm not fixing you a second time."

"Yes, sir," Ben teased, grabbing his towel and heading out the door.

Ender shook his head and went back to his desk, calling up the relevant emails on his laptop and getting back to answering them.

Seriously, Skywalker.

Ben came back twenty minutes later with a wet head and a towel obligingly slung around his waist.

He gave a quick smile to Ender and walked to his bureau. He didn't want to interrupt genuine work, after all.

Ender clicked send, then shut his laptop and looked up.

Hi, shirtless Ben.

"Welcome back."

"Miss me?" Ben asked teasingly.

"Not really," Ender said. "Much easier to put out fires without you around."

He leaned back in his seat. It seemed as good a time as any to appreciate the view.

Ben's cheeks went pink as he yanked on a pair of boxers. "I'm going to put off putting those pleated...things...as long as possible," he declared.

Ender got up out of his chair - tie neatly back where it belonged after the abuse Ben foisted on it - and stepped towards him. "I think you can pull off boxers and a shirt as long as the door is locked," he said.

"No tie, right?" Ben checked. "It feels overly formal with just the shorts."

"The shirt is optional too, come to think of it," Ender said with a little laugh. "The door's shut, Ben."

"And yet you're still buttoned up tight," Ben teased.

"I'm not the one who's morally opposed to buttons."

Just socks.

He slid his thumbs under the waistband of Ben's boxers and pulled him in.

"Mmm, hi there," Ben said, reaching for Ender's tie to loosen it back up again.

He liked Ender looking a little tousled. Shhh.

Ender slid one hand around to cup Ben's behind, but the other one went right back up and touched Ben's face. "What is it with you and my tie?" he asked, dropping another kiss on Ben's lips.

"I'm not used to it," Ben said, settling himself in Ender's lap. "We're not really a tie-wearing galaxy."

"I'm not from a terribly tie-friendly environment either," Ender said, amused.
