Ben was still smiling as they walked away from the Portalocity terminal, his hand in Ender's. "That was a nice visit," he said. "Dad's really, really excited about becoming a grandfather, huh? I think the Ewok-themed nursery might be a bit much, though."

Ender dropped kisses along his jaw. "Happily," he murmured. "Until we're very, very old."

"And then we'll be pulling into clinics with strained hips and backs and embarrassing the kriff out of the kid," Ben replied.

"It'd be worth it," Ender decided. "We'll only get better with age."

"More adventurous, too?" Ben guessed, kissing him again.

Ender chuckled. "Is that you saying you want to be tied up again?" he teased.

"Well, not right this second," Ben said, chuckling, "but I think I could agree to that again, yes."

Ender kissed him again, softly. "Unless there's something else you want to try..."

"Haven't really been doing any interesting reading lately," Ben replied. "Unless you want to get tied up...lights on, easy to see the exits..."

"I'm not sure," Ender said softly.

Ben leaned in and kissed him. "No pressure at all, kreetle," he murmured. "Just an option."

"I know," Ender said. "I'm just... unsure." He kissed Ben again. "Especially because I don't want to freak you out if it turns out it freaks me out."

Ben leaned his head into Ender's. "That's why we talk ahead of time," he whispered. "So I know that it might not work."

Though he kind of suspected that from the get-go.

"I was a little surprised when it worked for you," Ender admitted softly.

"Because I know I'm not really stuck," Ben murmured. "I'm choosing to stay in place. I could move any time I wanted, really."

And take the headboard with him.

Ender smiled wanly at him. "You're a little stronger than I am, kreetle."

Ben leaned in and kissed him. "I'd never do something you aren't comfortable with," he murmured.

"I know," Ender murmured. "This isn't a straight-up no, though. It's an 'I'd need to think about it', and a 'please don't worry if it turns out not to work for me'."

He kissed Ben's cheek.

"Also, an 'I shouldn't find it hot that you're stronger than me'," he added.

Ben blushed. "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah," Ender murmured. "It's frankly ridiculous. I don't like being reminded of being able to be overpowered by anyone. But. Remember when you lifted me up just like that?"

Ben nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Yeah. Good thing?"

"I was a little weirded out at the time," Ender said, kissing his jaw. "Largely because I'm not used to that. But in retrospect... yes."

"So if one night I come home and just lift you up and press you against the wall..." Ben murmured, "...not a bad idea?"

"If I know it's you," Ender said, leaning in to kiss him again.

"I'll make sure you do," Ben promised. "I don't want to startle you. Holes in the wall aren't a good look."

Ender chuckled softly. "Not really," he agreed, running his fingers along Ben's arm.
