Ben leaned against the balcony of their suite in the Fountain Palace and sighed softly. Hapes really was ridiculously beautiful, and while he preferred Naboo because of the lack of constant political posturing, he did enjoy getting to show Ender and Val off to Tenel Ka, who flatly refused to believe he was old enough to have a baby of his own when she could still remember changing his bottom.

The laughter from her guards at that had almost made the embarrassment worth it. "I think it's time for dinner soon," Ben called into Ender. "It's hard to gage here by the sun because it never gets fully dark."

Ben's grip hurt, but it and the weight of his body just made it nicer, somehow. Ender's hand moved a little faster for just a few more seconds, and then he was going too, whimpering against his pillow.

Ben curled himself around Ender like an apostrophe and dropped against the other pillow.

Words were still beyond him.

Ender slid an arm around him, cuddling close, eyes closed.

Ben kissed his temple with a small sigh. "I'll get water in a minute," he mumbled.

"Don't rush," Ender said, his hand sliding gently up and down Ben's back.

Ben let out another sigh. "I won't. You're comfortable."

"The feeling, like many of them, is mutual," Ender said, kissing Ben's shoulder.

"This was an astral vacation idea," Ben babbled, closing his eyes.

Ender smiled, headbutting him gently. "You did good."

Ben smiled down at him. "Thanks, kreetle. Not just saying that because you got laid?"

"No, it's been interesting," Ender said, smiling. "I could get laid anywhere."

But it always ended with him here - completely comfortable, curled up with Ben.

Ben hugged Ender more tightly. "I love you," he said softly. "Not that I think you wonder."

"No," Ender said, shutting his eyes. "But I love you just as much."

"I know you do," Ben murmured, kissing Ender's hair. "I can feel it."

Ender smiled faintly, focusing on the warm feeling in his chest, letting it soak into the rest of him. He wanted Ben to feel more of it.

Ben let out a low, satisfied noise. "Like that."

"Good," Ender said, stretching an arm out to pull up the covers. "You should."

Ben sighed happily--the covers really were ridiculously decadent--and then declared. "Okay. Water and washcloths or we'll be stuck to this bed."

Ender laughed. "Fine," he said. "We could probably even get right back to the tub."

"Oooh," Ben said, smiling. "But only if I'm on the receiving end."

"Feeling a little neglected?" Ender teased.

"Hardly," Ben said, kissing him.

[endsthegame]

Ender kissed him back gently, then slid out of the bed. "But fine, I'll go first."

Ben smiled up at him. "Love you, kreetle."

Ender touched Ben's cheek in response, then walked into the bathroom, where he sank into the tub.

It felt really good, even if he badly wanted to go back to bed.
