From Chilly Boulder to Room 204 [evening]

Ben reappeared where he'd been on the 7th: in Chilly Boulder, but without his creepy visitors.

There was a napkin on the nearby table that read "remember" and Ben was flooded with memories of this place: dates with Tahiri after invasions, milkshakes and conversations with Karla, the various staff members who knew him by name after so many years of coming into this shop...

...and Ender, which was when Ben glanced at his phone, realized that it was now Sunday, and bolted for the dorms. If the sidewalks and trees along the way back weren't exactly how he remembered them, he didn't care. He had much more important things on his mind.

"Ender?" he called, opening the door to their room.

Ender reached up and tugged down the zipper of Ben's flight suit just enough that he could slip his arm around him properly - the body heat was nice, and a not exactly unwelcome reminder.

Ben sighed happily and snuggled in more. "Hey, you."

He had, sadly, not come back more coherent.

Well, shoot. Ender clearly hadn't tried hard enough.

"Hi," he said, shutting his eyes again and breathing. "Hope you're feeling all right."

"Good as new," Ben replied, moving his hand back to Ender's hair. "You're the one I'm worried about."

"I think I'll live, Skywalker," Ender said, gently prying the flight suit away from his shoulders.

Ben smiled down at him and wriggled out of the top half of his flight suit. "See?" he said gently. "Still here, scars and all."

Ender slid his hand into Ben's hair this time, keeping his head gently to the side with his grip, and leaned over to kiss one of the scars on Ben's shoulder.

Ben's eyes closed and his hands slid down to rest on Ender's hips. "Going to check anyway?"

"Unless you have any objections."

Ender's voice managed to drop even lower than usual, with emotion he couldn't quite restrain any longer.

Ben's eyes fluttered open again at that. "Never," he said firmly, wrapping his arms around Ender again and holding on tightly.

Ender kissed another scar, and then Ben's neck, keeping his head tilted at an angle.

If he bit down a little sharply, well, he really wanted to be sure.

Ben gasped and arched into him. "It's really me," he promised.

"Come on, then."

Ender's other hand slid over his back, and he pressed another kiss to Ben's neck, then his jaw, and finally his mouth.

Yes, he was suffering from extreme sleep deprivation, but the adrenaline in his system had him wired, wanting to move and wanting to rest all at once.

Ben moaned again and moved to take Ender's shirt off, then slid his hands down to cup his rear.

If this was what Ender needed, Ben was more than happy to oblige.

Ender tossed his shirt aside, towards the other bed in the room. He shifted so he could straddle Ben, which was not at all an encouragement with regards to anything Ben might be doing with his hands. "There we go."

Ben immediately set to work on the waistband of Ender's pants before nipping down--hard--on Ender's shoulder.

Ender groaned, digging his fingers into Ben's shoulder blades and rocking his hips forward.

"Still me," Ben murmured, biting down on Ender's neck. "And I still remember."

"I know," Ender said, even though part of him still worried that maybe they had brought Ben back wrong, or that the wishful thoughts somewhere in his own consciousness might have twisted something in him, or...

He made a soft noise in the back of his throat and ran his hands down Ben's torso instead. That, at least, was exactly as it had been.

"Stop thinking, kreetle," Ben whispered, running his tongue around the shell of Ender's ear.

Ender's fingers hit the edges of Ben's flight suit, and he hooked his thumbs underneath. "I'm trying," he said, shivering.

Ben arched up into him again and shifted his hands back to Ender's rear. "Try harder."

"Yes, sir," Ender said, half-sarcastically, half-breathlessly as he rocked his hips back against him.

The 'sir' probably shouldn't have been quite that exciting to hear, but Ben wasn't being self-conscious for once. He shoved Ender's pants down impatiently, eager for more skin to touch.

For once, the idea of putting up a fight for control just felt like a chore; Ender leaned back a little to help Ben with that, until he could strip out of his pants.

They probably wound up somewhere on the floor. He wasn't checking.
