Ender's Swingin' Bachelor Pad, Naboo [Wednesday, Fandom time]

The nice thing about how time worked on Naboo was that even a few days away from Fandom meant that Ender and Ben had gotten almost a week to themselves to unwind.

Now the fridge was restocked, the rooms were prepared and the droid Ben had made was bustling industriously around getting rid of dust bunnies.

Ben and Ender were ready for their Fandom (and other universes!) invasion.

"But all you guys do is drink and get into trouble!" Karla pointed out. "I can do those things, too! Better that you can!"

She had a point, Ben. Who was it who'd been getting his face measured in tiny plastic animals?

"Ender," Karla replied promtly. "And Bobby. And--wait a minute! You're leaving your comm here! You're not going to be calling anyone!"

"I can borrow Warren's!" Ben said. "Oooh, I could crank call Lucivar!"

As opposed to Karla, who put her hands on her hips and said, "You're going to crank call Kaeleer without me?! Are you for real?!"

Karla threw up her hands in disgust. "Fine," she said. "Go out and have your little boys' night together. I'll find something to keep myself entertained."

She'd also invite Ender along, though she was pretty sure that her plans for the evening would not appeal to him, either. But no one could say she hadn't tried!

"Oh how will my evening be made then," Karla said with a roll of her eyes. "But I bet Ender will let me throw popcorn at the screen if I do."

"He'd probably help you," Ben said with a wry smile. "Dad's not exactly on his list of favorite people."

Because Ender was smart and Luke was a list of words she wasn't even going to think with Ben in the room.

"Well, if my first idea doesn't pan out, maybe I'll get out the Jedi action figures I saw in town and make them act out the holos. Oooh, or better yet? The trashiest show I can find."

Karla could just see it now; Kyle Katarn accusing Luke of cheating on him and illicitly fathering Leia's baby.

"There are plenty," Ben said, shaking his head ruefully, "and as usual, nothing good to watch."

Then the rest of it sank in. "You bought action figures?"

Karla thought not.

"These are mine. I'll probably get more for souvenirs before we go."

Ben facepalmed. "I didn't know they'd made a bigger me," he whined. "I thought I only came in the family pack."

"Congratulations, Ben! You're a big enough boy to get your own doll!"

It was an action figure! Mother Night, Karla.

"And look! You came with an accessory!" A large rancor toy appeared and Karla tucked Ben into its mouth. "OM NOM NOM! SKYWALKER!" she growled.
