Ender's Swingin' Bachelor Pad, Naboo [Wednesday, Fandom time]

The nice thing about how time worked on Naboo was that even a few days away from Fandom meant that Ender and Ben had gotten almost a week to themselves to unwind.

Now the fridge was restocked, the rooms were prepared and the droid Ben had made was bustling industriously around getting rid of dust bunnies.

Ben and Ender were ready for their Fandom (and other universes!) invasion.

"So, what do they call the blue ones? Or can I just walk up to the bar, order a round of blue drinks for all of us, and they'll know what I'm going on about?"

Ben had really, really managed to sell Warren on the blue ones.

Mostly just by virtue of their being blue and containing alcohol, granted.

"There'll be a droid in the table who will take our orders," Ben said. "Just tell it you want a Saphhire Fogblaster."

"Sapphire, huh?" Warren grinned a little at that. "Well, that's fitting."

Warren was going to be gaping stupidly at all the things for the first little bit, until he got used to the place. Space club! Space club!!

In space!

... The novelty hadn't worn off yet, no.

"Karla can have one," Ben said, moving toward an empty table as a Twi'lek dancer twined around a pole, "...just not here."

"Definitely not here. In fact, can Karla never find out just what kind of here this particular here happens to be?"

He glanced at the dancer, still grinning, but he maybe blushed just the slightest bit, too.

"She'd find new and exciting ways to kill me, I think."

"It's cultural!" Ben insisted.

It was probably the most, ahem, culture Warren had seen in one place in pretty much his entire life, actually.

"She's a Twi'lek," Ben explained, sitting down. "She's very bendy."

Warren probably figured that out on his own, Ben.

"It's definitely a species thing, at least for the females," Ben said. "If you ask a male Twi'lek if he's bendy, he'd probably remove your spine."

"Which would more or less answer that question for me, one way or the other," Warren noted, shaking his head a bit. "It's a good thing that isn't the sort of question that I tend to go around just casually asking perfect strangers. Hey, Ben, are you bendy?"

"Well, I did win that cheerleading trophy," Ben said with a laugh as a droid popped out of the center of the table and demanded their drink orders.

Warren, of course, was going to order that Sapphire Fogblaster. Partly just because the name amused the hell out of him, okay?

"You did," he added, a moment later. "And it only cost you... what, a pair of pants?"

"And my dignity," Ben replied, ordering a Remote Terminator. "From the recipe," he added.

He turned to Warren. "I'm not feeling that crazy."

Warren had no idea what that drink was, but seeing as Ben needed to specify... Well, he really couldn't resist asking.

"What happens if you don't tell them you want it from the recipe?"

Because he was kind of tempted to try it himself to see.

"If they mix the parts together in a random order, sometimes things explode," Ben replied.

Mmm, tasty.

That was Warren looking as though he was seriously considering taking that as a challenge.

"Before or after you drink it?"

"I don't know," Ben admitted. "I've only heard stories."

They were excellent influences on each other!

"Of course you realize, after I'm done my blue thing, I'm going to have to find out for myself, right?"

And if the exploding happened after... well, that was what healing factors were for! To take care of pesky things like internal bleeding and burns in unlikely places!

"Or at least memorable," Warren laughed. "And on nights like tonight, memorable is totally the better option."

Something to tell the kids someday, while they stared in horror and wondered what the hell was the matter with their father.

"Landspeeders?" Ben suggested, sipping from his drink that probably wouldn't kill him.

Warren didn't even feel as though it was important to ask what those were. With a name like landspeeders, he felt it was pretty much mandatory.

"Done." A beat. "Are they something we'll probably need to wait until we're sober to use?"
