His headache had finally cleared up, so Ben was trying to catch up on his robotics work this evening.

Well, that was his story, anyway. It wasn't like he slept more than a few hours a night. The door was closed, though, so the sound didn't carry down the hall.

Ben blinked. "Ohhhhhh." Then his face matched his hair. "I'll get dressed again."

"You probably should," Tahiri agreed, though her tone wasn't completely certain. "Before both our faces catch fire or something."

"That would be a deeply stupid way to die," Ben said, reaching for his undertunic. "I'm sorry, I was so embarrassed I exploded."

Tahiri finally managed to look away, laughing softly. "So let's not do that."

[momslilassassin]

Ben slid back into his undertunic and reached out to tweak her nose. "You can breathe normally now," he teased.

"I was not that bad," Tahiri objected. Yes, she had been.

[momslilassassin]

He leaned back against his pillows and tried to pull her close. "You really were."

[weetuskenraider]

She was perfectly happy to let him do that, and curled up against him. "You weren't exactly mister composure yourself."

"I'm a Skywalker," Ben said with a grin. "We are many things. Good with girls is not one of them. Look at Dad."

[weetuskenraider]

"Uh huh." Tahiri reached out to wrap an arm around him, not in any mood to go anywhere for a good long while. "Lucky for you, I like you anyway."

"There's no such thing as luck," Ben said, leaning down to rub his nose against hers.

"Whatever you want to call it, it's a good thing." Well, of course she was going to try and steal a kiss in this situation.

He wasn't about to stop her. He might even have held her a little closer. He had a feeling they could both use the contact today.

Definitely. Tahiri hoped he wouldn't mind if she stuck around for a while; after the day she'd had, she really needed this.

"Stay over?" he asked, blushing furiously.

[weetuskenraider]

Tahiri was blushing just as hard -- again -- and she nodded. "You'd have to kick me out to get me to leave."

Which was, somehow, a lot easier than just saying yes.

Ben held on a little tighter. "I'm not going to do that," he said, rubbing her back.

"Then you'd better get used to me being here tonight," Tahiri informed him, snuggling closer.

"Do you steal covers?" he asked.

[weetuskenraider]

Tahiri bumped his shoulder lightly with her forehead. "No. And I don't need that much of them either."

"Because you're very short," Ben teased.

[weetuskenraider]

"You're making up for that. Stop growing," Tahiri said lazily.

"I'll get right on that," Ben said with a laugh as he closed his eyes for a second. "I don't want to be more than a foot taller than you."

[weetuskenraider]

"You'd have to levitate me to kiss me without getting a neck cramp," Tahiri said. She thought it was a practical argument.

[momslilassassin]

"No neck cramping way," Ben said, trying to steal a kiss.
