Ben & Ender's house on Shakespeare [some evening]

Ben was curled up on the sofa with Ender's rather dry book on anatomy after Ben's research into the subject had brought up suggestions like "Bend Over," "Eating Out," and other titles that had sent Ben into an unhelpful cycle of flail. (Jane had a wicked sense of humor, not that Ben knew that.)

He had a dish of ice cream while he waited for dinner to warm up--his only outward sign of nerves--and kept glancing at the door waiting for Ender to come home.

Just another night, right? If he kept repeating that to himself, maybe he'd believe it.

Ben was reduced to encouraging noises and useless babble, one hand on Ender's ass and the other on the small of his back, offering support.

Ender dropped to one elbow as he let more of his restraint slip, caught in the motion of it.

There was something brushing against his stomach he was becoming increasingly aware of-- he glanced down.

Ben blushed. "Hi there."

"Hi," Ender returned, his mouth quirking a tiny bit. He shifted, sliding his free hand down.

That meant slowing down for a minute, but, well, it was only fair.

Ben let out a deeply embarrassing (if he'd cared, which...no) needy whine. "Show-off," he gasped.

"You... complaining?" Ender asked.

... because if he didn't do that, well, this was going to be over fairly quickly as it stood...

Ben laughed, squeezing his eyes closed. "I feel like I'm going to go off like a firework any second--"

"You and me both," Ender said, tilting his head forward, moaning not-too-softly. The motion of his hips started to speed up again - his hand wasn't matching, because he could only manage so much coordination at this point.

Ben wrapped his fingers in Ender's hair to keep him that close. "Love you," he whispered, barely loud enough to be heard--remembering to breathe was becoming a problem when all of his focus was on Ender's hips and hand.

"Love you," Ender echoed. He shut his eyes and just... kept moving, the last dregs of his restraint draining away.

"Ender," Ben whimpered, burying his head against his neck as he lost control.

That... caused a funny kind of feedback. "Kuso," Ender groaned, following him a moment later, letting go of Ben so he could plant that hand on the mattress.

It was going to take Ben a minute to remember things like his name or how to breathe normally. Right now he was going to keep his head pressed against Ender's and wonder how long it would take for his heart to stop pounding.

Ender slumped against him and muttered something unintelligible. After a moment, a little more intelligible: "Nggh, Ben."

"Exactly," Ben replied, hugging him tightly.

Ender sighed, shifting his hips a little until-- there we go.

Then he took his turn, burying his face in Ben's neck.

Ben let out a slightly shaky breath. "You all right?" he asked, stroking his back.

"Mm," Ender said, pressing a kiss against that neck. "Yes."

"Good," Ben murmured, smiling at him, "because I want to do that again sometime."

Ender smiled back at him. Goofily.

He felt lighter - not just because it'd been good, because it had been good plenty of times. But it was... nice to have this one last point of tension out of the way.

"We'll have to, then."

Ben reached out to cup Ender's cheek. "I do love that smile," he whispered.

"I do love you," Ender said, his smile softening a little.

Ben tapped his forehead against Ender's and stayed there for a moment, just breathing it all in.

"I'm still shaking," he finally noticed.

"I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment," Ender said, sliding his hands over Ben's arms, rubbing at them as if that would calm them.

"Probably good," Ben said with a little chuckle. "There was just more emotion than I expected. I'm still riding out the aftershocks."
